International Relations in the UK
Objective achieved! Silvia was able to choose which university to attend in the United Kingdom among:
- King's College: #13 in the UK for Politics
- University of Manchester: #21 in the UK for Politics
- Queen Mary University of London: #32 in the UK for Politics
UNI Student Advisors prepared a customized plan for Silvia: we elaborated an extensive list of universities that could meet her preferences and potential, divided into categories according to both ranking (in relation to the chosen course of study) and entry requirements, to have a balanced list for every scenario, in particular in relation to her final high school grades, which were subject to her performance during the last year of high school, therefore leaving uncertainty on the final results.
Through Skype meetings and numerous revisions, our college counselor Brad – who has worked in the admissions’ office of world-class universities – supported Silvia in the development of a Personal Statement that convincingly and concisely explains her reasons for choosing a career in Politics and International Relations and that highlights her educational background and extra-curricular experiences such as competitive sports, her participation in Model United Nations and her volunteer experience in Thailand.
We focused on the choice of experiences that might be more appealing to the admission committees and more relevant to the major she chose, ending with a focus on future goals and how that specific course of study will allow Silvia to achieve them.
The combination of these elements allowed us to demonstrate to the admission committees the reasons for her choice and at the same time that she had the right profile for that major at some of the best universities in the world. "Your help was crucial at every step. Enrolling in college abroad is a long and difficult path, and only an expert can help you get into the universities you want and succeed. There has always been maximum availability and continuous support from you, throughout the entire admission process, from start to finish".
